Hawaiian Airlines has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first major carrier globally to deploy Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency broadband internet service. This advanced technology is now operational on select flights between the U.S. Mainland and Hawaiʻi, transforming the in-flight connectivity experience for passengers.
The inaugural flight featuring Starlink’s Wi-Fi service took place on Hawaiian’s Airbus A321neo, N228HA, which journeyed from Honolulu to Long Beach. This service is being progressively introduced on additional A321neo aircraft in the coming months, providing passengers with complimentary, hassle-free connectivity from the moment they step onboard.
Chris Liebertz, Senior Director of Engineering at Hawaiian Airlines, expressed the airline’s commitment to delivering an unparalleled travel experience, stating, “In marrying this best-in-class technology with our authentic Hawaiian hospitality, we are offering our guests a travel experience unlike any other airline flying to and from the Hawaiian Islands.”
