Wahiawa 10-year-old was emaciated, suffered prolonged abuse before dying

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The legal guardians of a young girl found dead at a Wahiawa home in January have been arrested and charged by police in connection with her death.

KHON2 was there as police arrested three people at the home in Wahiawa Friday morning, after the investigation into the death of the 10-year-old girl.

Police were initially called to the residence by the suspects around 8 a.m. on Jan. 18 when the victim, identified as Geanna Bradley, was found unresponsive. Efforts were made to revive the child but were unsuccessful.

The case was initially reported as an unattended death but after a three-week investigation and an autopsy the case was reclassified as homicide.

Geanna was found to have had multiple injuries to her face including her ears, eyes, forehead, cheeks, lips and a road rash-type of injury on her chin. Part of her nose bridge was missing.

The suspects told police the injuries were self-inflicted, stating that the child would throw tantrums and throw herself on the floor.
