HONOLULU (Island News) — New details have been released on a settlement offer available to families who suffered the greatest losses in the Maui wildfires. During a press conference Thursday marking six months since the Aug. 8 tragedy, Gov. Josh Green took time to share details on an option for the families of those who were killed by the wildfires. The details of the “One Ohana Initiative” goes back to an announcement he made on Sept. 8 from the capitol when he first introduced the concept of creating a compensatory fund that for those families.
