The University of Hawaii softball team notched its first win of the season with a 5-0 win over Kansas City on Friday night at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
Hawaii improved to 1-1 on Friday, while Kansas City dropped to 0-4.

Long Beach State transfer Addison Kostrencich pitched a complete game for the Rainbow Wahine, allowing just two hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
Offensively, Izzy Martinez and Maycen Gibbs had three hits each for the Rainbow Wahine, while Martinez had three RBI.
The Rainbow Wahine will play BYU and Ole Miss on Saturday, starting with BYU at 3:30 p.m.
