Dozens of flight attendants from the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport will be participating in the Worldwide Day of Action, supporting allies on the mainland, United Kingdom and Guam.

Around 100 thousand flight attendants are currently in negotiation for fair contracts and an increase in pay.

This day of action would be the first time workers would be protesting, drawing in attendants from 24 different airlines, including those who are represented by the Association of Flight Attendants.

Workers from major airlines including Southwest, Alaska Airlines, Air Wisconsin, United, American and more will be participating in the protest.

Attendants feel their work is underappreciated and is only recognized when they respond to a crisis situation to ensure all passengers on the plane are safe.
