Free hula performance to take the stage at Waikiki Shell

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The curtain is set to open for a long-time hula show returning to Waikiki. The Kilohana Hula Show premieres this Thursday at the Waikiki Shell.

The show is a one-hour performance from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., free to all! CNHA, the City and County of Honolulu and Hawaii entertainment production are partnering as producers on this hula show, which will debut on Thursday, Feb. 15.

The show is part of a regenerative tourism initiative from CNHA and Kilohana by CNHA, marking the return of the world-renowned free Waikiki hula show once put on by Kodak.

The Kilohana Hula Show will be directed by Kipe Ebana and Nā Kumu Hula Tracie and Keawe Lopes. The show will highlight the beautiful mele that honors Waikiki, featuring dancers from six award-winning halau from across Hawaii.
