Legal guardians of Geanna Bradley indicted for murder

HONOLULU (KHON2) —

The legal guardians, Thomas and Brandy Blas and Debra Geron, of 10-year-old Geanna Bradley were indicted Wednesday by a grand jury on 2nd degree murder charges.

Meanwhile, sources said Brandy Blas was assaulted at the Oahu Community Correctional Center while in custody for the murder of Bradley. The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said it’s investigating an alleged assault of an inmate on Monday.

“The fact that she was assaulted is really frustrating and disturbing, because if you look at the nature of the charges and you look at the allegations and what’s happening and her physical condition right now it’s disturbing she wasn’t put in protective custody when she got there,” said Harrision Kiehm, Brandy Blas’ attorney.

Prosecutors covered horrifying details about photos found on Geron’s and Brandy Blas’ phones of Bradley duct taped and bound. Prosecutors add, Bradley was kept in an enclosed porch five feet away from the refrigerator.

“They conspired to keep her bound, feeding her only minimally forcing her to sleep in a box,” said Erika Candelario, Deputy Prosecutor.
