HONOLULU (Island News) — A man in his 60s is in critical condition after suffering an apparent heart attack while hiking the Makiki Valley Trail on Friday. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) were called out to the scene around 11:45 a.m. after receiving a call about an unconscious hiker.
