HPD investigating homicide investigation near Ala Moana

HONOLULU (KHON2) — At about 5:30 a.m., Sunday, officials responded to an argument that turned into a fatal stabbing on Makaloa St. near Ala Moana.

According to Emergency Medical Services, three patients were treated with advanced life support after suffering apparent stab wounds.

The three patients were:

  • a 28-year-old male
  • a 25-year-old male
  • a 26-year-old male

Police said the victims knew each other and had been arguing with the suspect, when he pulled a knife on them and stabbed them.

The incident was labeled as Murder 2 after the 28-year-old victim succumbed to his wounds in the hospital.

The other two victims were treated and released from the hospital.

The suspect is described as an Asian male in his 30s to 40s, bald, approximately 5’9 inches.

He fled on foot east on Makaloa St. and police consider him armed and dangerous.

Police believe the argument originated over a female and was not a random act.
