Mililani state champ Lee continues family lineage into ONE Championship

The championship mettle in Mililani’s Lee family is well documented.

Christian Lee holds two belts as the ONE Championship lightweight and welterweight champ, and sister Angela was the former women’s atomweight world champion and superstar in the organization until she retired last year. Embarking to join them now in the mixed martial arts organization is 18-year-old Adrian Lee, already a Hawaii state champion in wrestling who just signed his first professional fight against Antonio Mammarella on June 7.

“It feels great, I’ve been working for this moment my whole life and I can’t wait to showcase my skills,” Adrian said.

Lee was victorious in the 160 lb. division of the HHSAA state wrestling tournament in 2023, showcasing a knack for one of the most important disciplines in MMA.

“The wrestling was a big aspect because I feel it really evolved my skill set,” Adrian said. “I think it was a great experience. There’s a lot of tough wrestlers on the island and I was fortunate to win the state title.”
