Scientists sound alarm about growing threat in Hawaiʻi: ‘The decisions we make today should anticipate the flooding that we will have 50 years from now’

The researchers warned that it is past time to begin adapting infrastructure to withstand the coming floods. A new study from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa forecasted that the sea level in the Honolulu neighborhood of Waikiki is expected to rise by 1 foot by 2050 and nearly 6 feet by 2100, KHON2 reported.
