City brings mobile homeless triage shelter to Kapolei

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Homeless Outreach and Navigation for Unsheltered Persons (HONU) program is being set up in a vacant lot across from Kapolei Hale. The city said beginning in October, the mobile triage and shelter site will be moving from Aiea to an area near Kapolei Parkway between Kamaʻaha Avenue and Alohikea Street, commonly known by those who live and frequent the area as the “Musubi Lot” due to its triangular shape with rounded corners.
