HFD rescue hiker on Diamond Head Crater Trail

KAHALA, Hawaii (Island News) – The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) rescued a hiker off the Diamond Head Crater Trail in Kahala. On Saturday, September 28, 2024, at approximately 1:04 p.m. it was reported that a sick hiker, in his 70s, was on the trail and wasn’t able to make it down on his own. HFD arrived on the scene at 1:11 p.m. and ascended the trail to look for the hiker.
