HONOLULU (KHON2) — A laulima family was devastated by a diagnosis eight months ago. In March of this year, the mother of an eight-year-old girl and six-year-old boy was diagnosed with a grade four brain tumor.

Grade four is the most aggressive and serious kind of tumor. Doctors said the average life expectancy is one to one and a half years. This mother and wife is only 37-years-old.
She has undergone biopsies, brain surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.

Mom can’t work and continues treatment. Her husband has arranged to work from home to take care of her and their children.
The loss of one income and piling medical bills mean this family could use financial help while also providing a few gifts for their keiki this holiday season.
