Mom is a single parent of a 17-year-old son. He was 13 years old when his father passed away.
His death has been extremely difficult for their son and went on a downward spiral, he dropped out of school though he did get a job. He used to love playing the ukulele but stopped.
At one point, Mom took on three jobs to try to keep up with the bills, but she had to cut down to two because it was too taxing. Then recently, her main workplace cut her hours.
Her son’s original ukulele is now damaged beyond repair, so we are told a new ukulele would be a beautiful gift for him. He could use disposable shavers and shaving cream, deodorant, and would love black Nike slip-ons or shoes.
For mom, she could use a pair of long jean shorts, household and cleaning items, towels, a toaster oven, electric fans and a car oil change. She hasn’t been able to use her car for more than a year because of it. Grocery store gift cards would be very helpful too.
