Airline ordered to pay Hawaii pilot $2 million for wrongful termination

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Guam-based cargo airline has been ordered to pay more than $2 million to a pilot that it fired in 2022 after he raised safety concerns. The U.S. Department of Labor said Asia Pacific Airlines wrongfully terminated Brant Swigart, who had filed a complaint against the airline under a federal whistleblower protection program.
