HONOLULU (KHON2) — Waialae Avenue by King Street was closed Monday afternoon after a crash involving an e-bike and a vehicle.

The accident happened just after 3 p.m. near Kapiolani Boulevard when a 68-year-old riding an e-bike attempted to cross Waialae Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk, according to HPD.
A 38-year-old driver and his juvenile passenger were traveling westbound on Waialae when they collided with the e-bike rider.
The driver and passenger were uninjured.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition with extensive injuries, according to EMS.
