Atlantis Resort is Potentially Coming to Hawaii and Right Next to Aulani!

Hawaii’s west coast may soon welcome a new luxurious addition: the Atlantis Resort.

California-based developer Kam Sang Company has recently announced plans for a $2 billion project to construct the iconic resort on a 26-acre oceanfront property in Ko Olina, Oahu.

The now vacant property is located directly next to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.

First Atlantis Resort

This would be the first Atlantis Resort in the United States, adding to its previous locations in the Bahamas and Dubai.

The development includes plans for 500 hotel rooms and 500 condo units on a 26-acre property, with an anticipated completion timeline of five years.

The concept of an Atlantis Resort in Hawaii is not entirely new. Two decades ago, former Governor Linda Lingle and Ko Olina developers explored the idea, but the project was ultimately shelved. Now, there is a renewed interest and potential investment.

Atlantis promises to enhance Hawaii’s tourism appeal and bring economic benefits, but the local community has also responded with mixed feelings…
