An 8-year-old disabled boy in Hawaii has succumbed to injuries sustained after he was brutally attacked by his neighbor’s dog on Tuesday.
The incident happened in the 100 block of Ohai Street just after 11 a.m., according to Honolulu police. The attack was reportedly captured on a home surveillance system, law enforcement sources told Hawaii News Now. Those sources reportedly added that the video would play a crucial role in piecing together the sequence of events.
The child had reportedly wandered into the backyard of the neighbor, unattended, when the attack occurred, HNN reported. The dog was reportedly on a chain in the backyard. When first responders arrived on the scene the child did not have a pulse and he was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries to his head and neck, HNN reported.
