State asset forfeiture auctions start up again… with one big change

HONOLULU (Island News) — The Hawaii Attorney General’s Office restarts its asset forfeiture auctions, with one starting on Feb. 18.

“It is going to feature many cars, trucks, a boat and some silver dollars,” said Department of Attorney General Public Information Officer Toni Schwartz.

The state used to hold these auctions every year, but put them on hold during the pandemic…
