Honolulu firefighters douse house fire in Haleiwa

HALEIWA, Hawai‘i (Island News) — Honolulu firefighters extinguished a Haleiwa house fire on Friday afternoon.

The Honolulu Fire Department received a 911 call at 4:34 p.m. for a fire at Iliohu Place. Crews responded to the fire and found light black smoke at the back of the two-story home upon arrival.

Firefighters initiated efforts to extinguish the fire with water and searched to confirm no one was inside the house. They had the fire under control at 4:51 p.m. and it was fully extinguished at 5:15 p.m…
