The City & County of Honolulu’s Department of Land Management is making $5 million in funding available for nonprofit organizations and public agencies to apply for funding opportunities under the Affordable Housing Act. The funding will support the development, rehabilitation and expansion of affordable rental housing designated for households earning 60 percent or less of the area median income.
“This funding opportunity is a key part of the City’s broader strategy to increase the supply of affordable housing, particularly for those in urgent need, including individuals transitioning out of homelessness,” said Kevin D. Auger, executive director for the Office of Housing. “We look forward to receiving innovative proposals that will provide stable, long-term housing solutions for our community.”
