Firefighters extinguish Honolulu condo fire

HONOLULU (Island News) — Firefighters have taken out a fire that broke out this afternoon at the Kapiolani Gardens condos.

Multiple units responded to an alert for a building fire that came in at 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday. Once arriving at the apartment complex on Kapiolani Boulevard, firefighters began to take out the fire in an apartment unit on the fifth floor.

Crews conducted a search for any occupants as smoke was seen billowing out of the building.

Shortly after, crews were able to get the fire under control at 2:41 p.m. The fire was extinguished at 3:06 p.m…
