HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu drivers who use Kapiʻolani Boulevard near the Hawaiʻi Convention Center for their daily commutes are urged to avoid the area as the city will be working on gas line relocation and paving, shutting down lanes until May.
Closures are scheduled to begin on March 24, with the eastbound right and middle lanes of Kapiʻolani Boulevard from Atkinson Drive to Hauʻoli Street being closed for approximately three weeks.

Work is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., where Hawai’i Gas will be able to relocate a gas line.

Westbound lane closures will also occur between McCully Street and Kalakaua Avenue, with the closure beginning on March 24 through March 28, with a work schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
