Inmate fails to return to Laumaka Work Furlough Center, on the run

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Jerwan Lalimo, a 29-year-old Laumaka work furlough inmate, failed to return to Laumaka Work Furlough Center on March 28, according to the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

State sheriffs and the Honolulu Police Department were made aware of Lalimo’s disappearance.

Lalimo is described as 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 300 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He is currently serving time for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and terroristic threatening.

Authorities say Lalimo may face an escape charge, which is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison…
