HONOLULU (KHON2) — On the morning of March 30 over 600 people participated in the Red Shoe 5K at the Ala Moana Center, a celebration presented by Kaiser Permanente to that raised over $44,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawaii.
Participants were able to take a 3.1-mile walk around the shopping center, with the leader of the walk being NFL quarterback Marcus Mariota, with KHON2’s own Jill Kuramoto and Howard Dashefsky emceeing the event.

All proceeds from the walk directly benefit RMHC Hawaii, which provides housing for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment on Oahu in a “comfortable home-away-from-home.”
