HONOLULU (Island News) – The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a teenage hiker in distress this Sunday, March 30 at Koko Crater Trail.
The 911 call for help came in just before 7:40 a.m. and the first unit arrived on scene within ten minutes.
According to HFD, the male teenager suffered a fall and was unable to safely descend the trail on his own.
Rescue crews located the teenager just after 8 a.m. and airlifted him to a safe landing zone, where he was transferred to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services…
