BeachBows split on Sunday to end road trip

The 17th-ranked University of Hawai‘i beach volleyball team wrapped up a grueling stretch of 15 consecutive road matches on Sunday, splitting a pair of contests at the Best in the West Tournament.

The BeachBows (12-15) opened the day with a 4-1 loss to host Cal Poly before bouncing back with a 3-2 win over North Florida to close out their California road trip.

Against the Mustangs, UH managed just one win — a three-set victory at flight four by Sydney Miller and Sophie Buschmann — as Cal Poly claimed the dual behind straight-set wins in four flights.
