MAPUNAPUNA, Hawaii (Island News) — Honolulu police are searching for a man wanted for an armed robbery at the Papa John’s location in Mapunapuna.
The pizza chain was robbed shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8. The suspect entered Papa John’s holding a red DoorDash bag. He walked behind the counter and revealed a black-colored semi-automatic handgun to the employee.
As the suspect stood behind the employee, they unlocked the cash register to give to him. The employee then retrieved more money located below the counter.
The man is described as being Filipino, in his 30s, approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall and weighs 140 lbs. He was wearing a bright green, long-sleeve shirt, camo pants, black boots, black gloves, black balaclava, white mask and sunglasses…
