Hawaii after-school program registration opens April 14

HONOLULU (Island News) — Parents looking for someplace safe for their keiki to go after school will soon be able to sign them up for the Hawaii Department of Education’s After-School (A+) Program.

Registration for A+ programs during the 2025-2026 school year opens on Monday, April 14 at 4 p.m. Families are encouraged to register both online and in person.

A+ programs are available to public elementary school students (Grades K-6) who need someplace safe and supervised to go after school. The students must either have parents or guardians who work, attend school or have job training during after-school hours…
