HONOLULU (Island News) — Dozens of demonstrators chanted and carried signs Wednesday afternoon outside the building where Hawaii U.S. Representative Ed Case (D) works.
Gathering near the intersection of Bishop and King in Honolulu, attendees made it clear they’re against Case’s decision to back the SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act.
It’s regarded as a Republican led bill that would require Americans to prove citizenship when registering to vote.
Oahu resident Amy Agbayani stated, “Ed Case is tone deaf. He does not support the values of Hawaii and he’s hurting many millions of women as well as immigrants.”…
