ꞌĀINA HAINA, Hawaii (Island News) — A black Labrador was reunited with its owner after falling off the trail at Kuliꞌouꞌou Trail during a weekend hike.
Honolulu firefighters responded to a 911 call on Saturday afternoon, April 26 for a dog that fell off the trail in ꞌĀina Haina near the ridgeline. Sammie, the black Labrador, was able to get rescued by firefighters once they arrived.
The personnel on scene airlifted Sammie to bring it to a safe landing zone nearby. It was not reported how many people were on the hike with the dog when it got separated…
