Toxic gas scare prompts investigation into UH student worker’s late-night lab access

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An investigation is underway following a hazmat scare on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa after a student worker allegedly accessed a laboratory in the middle of the night and mixed chemicals to create a poisonous gas.

Officials say the incident landed the young man in the hospital in serious condition.
