AIEA, Hawaii (Island News) — An H-1 Freeway westbound accident in the Aiea area involving multiple cars led to five women getting taken to the hospital on Saturday morning.
Multiple ambulances responded to the pile-up around 8:50 a.m. on May 10. A 49-year-old woman was driving westbound on the H-1 Freeway near the Kaonohi Street overpass with her passengers, a 61-year-old and a 74-year-old woman. The driver suffered a medical emergency which caused her to sideswipe a 52-year-old male driver.
The initial collision redirected the 49-year-old’s vehicle into a concrete barrier. This rippled into more impact where she continued forward and collided with a 45-year-old male driver, as well as a fourth car driven by a 43-year-old woman with a 69-year-old woman as her passenger…
