Injured Hiker Swiftly Rescued from Diamond Head Crater Trail in Kahala by Honolulu Firefighters

A 25-year-old woman was rescued from the Diamond Head Crater Trail in Kahala last Saturday after falling and sustaining injuries that prevented her from continuing. The Honolulu Fire Department received a call for assistance at 11:32 a.m. and arrived on scene by 11:36 a.m., deploying six units and 17 personnel.

A hiker was located and reached by rescuers at 11:54 a.m. A medical assessment was conducted, and basic life support was provided. She was then airlifted to a landing zone and transferred to Emergency Medical Services at 12:27 p.m. A second hiker who was with her left the area on foot and did not require assistance, according to the Honolulu Fire Department…
