Kalihi pawn shop robbery suspect in custody; second suspect still at large

KALIHI, Hawaii (Island News) – The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) arrested a suspect in connection to a robbery incident that took place at a local pawn shop in the Kalihi area.

On Thursday morning at approximately 7:45 a.m. HPD arrested a 35-year-old man for Robbery in the Second Degree.

The initial incident occurred on Tuesday, May 20, around 2:25 p.m. when HPD reported that two men entered a pawn shop, pepper-sprayed a 67-year-old man, and left the area with some of the business’ property…
