Traffic noise, homelessness top concerns at mayor’s sixth town hall meeting

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Mayor Rick Blangiardi’s sixth town hall meeting of the year covered a wide geographic area, from Pearl City to downtown. And because of that, the administration was ready for a wide range of questions.

The meeting Thursday evening at Radford High School included questions about e-bikes and the rules that still have people confused, along with a long discussion regarding homelessness.

“We’re not going to end homelessness. We’re not going to do that,” Blangiardi told the crowd. “What we’re looking for is functional control of the situation so we can deal with the people, the chronic homeless, people who’ve been out there a long time…
