Moped driver suffers serious injuries after getting struck by car in Kalihi

KALIHI, Hawaii (Island News) — A woman in her 50s is recovering from her injuries after she was hit by a car while riding her moped in Kalihi on Saturday night.

The 52-year-old woman was ejected from her moped after a car crashed into her after 8 p.m. on May 24. Paramedics arrived at the scene of the crash and treated her serious injuries before taking her to an emergency room.

The accident caused the N. King Street and Kokea Street intersection to close in all directions. The circumstances in this crash surrounding the cause and possible factors have not been reported by police yet…
