HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Asia Pacific Dance Festival (APDF) continues this week at the UH Manoa campus, featuring cultural performances, dance workshops and a conference.
Hosted by UH Manoa’s Outreach College, the festival suffered a setback, losing a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. But organizers said the community rallied in support, allowing the event to continue.
“While this loss poses a significant challenge, the APDF team remains committed to delivering an inspiring celebration of dance, culture and connection, and this only strengthens our resolve. We’re not canceling, we’re coming together.
