HPD officer loses control of motorcycle on Moanalua Freeway, remains in stable condition

MOANALUA, Hawaii (Island News) — A Honolulu police officer is recovering in stable condition after losing control of his motorcycle on the Moanalua Freeway early Friday morning.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. on Friday, May 30, where the officer was switching lanes. The officer lost control of the motorcycle while traveling in the westbound direction.

The officer released his motorcycle as he slid on the wet road and the vehicle struck a delivery truck that was also heading west. As a result of the crash, the truck driver was not injured and their car was not damaged…
