Coast Guard searching for missing woman, 21

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The U.S. Coast Guard, along with partner agencies, are searching for a missing 21-year-old woman off Oʻahu’s coast.

Khilye Hamadani was last seen at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on the night of June 2. The Honolulu Fire Department was able to trace Hamadani’s cell phone to Spitting Cave, and found her bag near China Walls on the morning of June 3.

New jail funding faces community pushback

The Coast Guard responded with a search crew the afternoon her bag was found, and found two white platform sneakers drifting almost two miles off Waiʻalae Beach Park, matching the description of Hamadani’s outfit.
