Council approves sewer rate hike based on consumption

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The heated debate over how high and how quickly to raise sewer rates ended late Wednesday afternoon.

By a narrow 5-4 vote, the Honolulu City Council approved a six-year plan that raises rates more for people who use more water.
