HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu police arrested a 25-year-old man for two counts of Assault Against a Law Enforcement Officer in the First Degree, the police department said in a social media post.
According to HPD, a 911 call was made at around 6 p.m. on June 5, reporting the man acting erratically near Piikoi Street and S. King Street.

Upon arrival, officers saw that the man was armed with a knife. Police say the man attempted to evade them and entered the roadway.
As officials made their initial response, HPD said the man then assaulted two officers, leading to his arrest.
