Mercedes stolen at gunpoint in Honolulu; suspect caught by police

HONOLULU (Island News) – Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing another man’s vehicle on Monday afternoon.

Just before 4 p.m. a 30-year-old man approached a 21-year-old man and allegedly displayed a handgun as he demanded his 2012 Mercedes-Benz E Class. The 30-year-old left the scene in the 21-year-old man’s car.

Police said that the 21-year-old was able to track his vehicle to the area of Aala Park where officers were able to locate and arrest the 30-year-old man.

HPD arrested the man for Robbery in the First Degree just after 4:30 p.m…
