HAUULA, Hawaii (Island News) — A male pedestrian was taken to the hospital on Saturday after suffering critical injuries near the beach in Hauula.
Honolulu Ocean Safety lifeguards on duty were quick to treat the man in his 20s on Kamehameha Highway in the Makao Beach area. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on June 14.
Before paramedics arrived at the scene, lifeguards applied tourniquets to the man for his extensive injuries. Once an ambulance was at the scene, paramedics took over treatment and transported him to an emergency room in critical condition…
