PHOTOS: Wahiawa playground breathes new life after arson attack

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A Wahiawa playground that was once set ablaze by arsonists is now breathing some new life, thanks to the hard work of local volunteers.

Several weeks ago, flames reduced the newly renovated playground at Wahiawa District Park to ashes, with volunteers working hard on June 14 to rebuild it.

The newly-rebuilt playground was made with donated equipment from Inspired Play Hawaiʻi.

The main rebuild was completed, but the base of the playground still needs to be installed.
