HONOLULU (KHON2) — The 4th of July is lots of fun in Hawaiʻi. From free festivals to fireworks shows over the Pacific Ocean, there’s lots of ways to celebrate.

Where to watch fireworks on Oʻahu
1. Schofield Barracks – Weyand Field.
- Location: Schofield Barracks, Central Oʻahu.
- Time: 4 p.m. to 9.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m.
- Cost: Free.
- What to expect: Live music, food and a concert by Collective Soul. Usually just for military families, but this year everyone is welcome.
- Website: Army MWR.
2. Hukilau Marketplace (Lāʻie – North Shore).
- Location: Next to the Polynesian Cultural Center.
- Time: Starts at 4p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m.
- Cost: Free.
- What to Expect: Live concerts, fun games for kids (inflatables, balloon animals, face painting) and food. Free parking and shuttles from BYU–Hawaiʻi.
- Website: Hukilau Marketplace.
3. Haleʻiwa Beach Park – North Shore Festival.
- Location: Haleʻiwa Beach Park.
- Time: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., fireworks at 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Cost: Free.
- What to Expect: Car show, music, local vendors and a fun family atmosphere.
- Website: North Shore Chamber of Commerce.
4. Kailua Beach parade and fireworks.
- Location: Kainalu Drive (parade), Kailua Beach (fireworks).
- Time: Parade at 10 a.m., fireworks at 8 p.m.
- Cost: Free (donations welcome).
- What to Expect: Long-running parade with a “Waves of Aloha” theme, plus a beachside fireworks show at night.

5. Hilton Hawaiian Village – Waikīkī Fireworks.
- Location: Waikīkī Beachfront.
- Time: Around 7:45 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Cost: Free.
- What to Expect: Short but beautiful 5-minute fireworks show every Friday. It’s great for July 4th if you’re nearby.
- Website: Hawaiian Airlines.
6. Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam.
- Location: Ward Field (base access only).
- Time: All day, fireworks at 9 p.m.
- Cost: Military families and guests only.
- What to Expect: Car show, games, live music and fireworks.

7. Oʻahu Country Club – Private Fireworks Show.
- Location: Nuʻuanu, Honolulu.
- Time: Fireworks at about 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
- Cost: Private event (not open to the public).
- What to Expect: A professional fireworks show for club members and guests. People nearby may see or hear the fireworks, but cannot attend. The club gives advance notice to help pet owners, veterans and families prepare.

BONUS: Alexander & Baldwin is sponsoring a complimentary shuttle service for the July 4th Fireworks Show at Kailua Beach. Free parking will be available at all A&B shopping centers in Kailua Town starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.
Shuttles will run every 30 minutes between 4:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. from the Kailua Town Parking Garage at Lau Hala Shops to Kailua Beach Center.
Where to watch in Maui
Wailea Beach (South Maui) – Resort Fireworks
- Location: Wailea Beach, next to resorts like Grand Wailea.
- Time: 8 p.m.
- Cost: Free.
- What to Expect: Bright fireworks launched from a barge offshore. Resorts may host beachside BBQs, music and pool games during the day. Guests should arrive early to find a good spot on the sand.

Where to watch on Hawaiʻi Island
1. Kailua-Kona Parade & “Independence Day Extravaganza”
- Location: Along Kuakini Highway along Aliʻi Drive, ending at Kailua Bay.
- Time: Parade at 6p.m., fireworks at 8 p.m. (launched from a barge in Kailua Bay).
- Cost: Free.
- What to Expect: A festive community parade, followed by a lively fireworks show over the water.
- Website: Kailua-Kona Extravaganza.
2. Hilo Bay Blast
- Location: Moʻoheau Park Bandstand and Hilo Bayfront.
- Time: Live music starts at 7 p.m., fireworks begin at 8 p.m.
- Cost: Free.
- What to Expect: A full celebration day with car shows, bounce houses, food trucks, a live band and fireworks set to music.

Where to watch on Kauaʻi
America’s Most West Freedom Fest – PMRF at Barking Sands.
- Date: Thursday, July 3.
- Location: Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands (west Kauaʻi).
- Time: Gates open ~ 4:30 PM; fireworks around 9:30 PM
- Cost: Free for U.S. citizens with valid ID; military base access only.
- What to Expect: Live music, games, food booths and a fireworks display over the water.
