Advocates call on DOE to reinstate, expand immersive Hawaiian language education class

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Families and keiki fighting for the return of a Hawaiian immersion class in Windward Oahu held a rally Thursday, calling on the Department of Education to reinstate one learning space that was recently taken away.

Participants rallied to bring back a second Hawaiian language preschool classroom at Pu’ohala Elementary School.
