Waipahu-based construction company buys landmark Honolulu office building

HONOLULU (Island News) — A Central Oahu construction company has purchased a well-known office building along Kapiolani Boulevard near Ala Moana Center in Honolulu for nearly $19 million.

Waipahu-based Bowers and Kubota Consulting, which specializes in construction and project management, architecture and engineering services, plans to consolidate its Honolulu-based services to the new office.

The seller of the 12-story building located at 1601 Kapiolani Blvd., was Hong-Kong-based Shaw Foundation Properties.

Colliers Hawaii represented the buyer while Pacific Properties Group represented the seller in the transaction…
