Honolulu mayor takes part in Hiroshima ceremony marking 80th anniversary of atomic bombing

HIROSHIMA, Japan (HawaiiNewsNow) – Aug. 6, 2025, marks 80 years since the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

More than 55,000 people gathered in the city’s Peace Memorial Park, located near the epicenter of the bombing, to honor those lost and come together for world peace.
